NM Voters First went through a careful endorsement process and has endorsed the below candidates for the 2025 Albuquerque Municipal Elections. 

Our endorsement process entailed a single question survey sent to all candidates running for Mayor, City Council, and APS School Board in Albuquerque. The question asked whether the respondent knew about RCV and if they supported its adoption in Albuquerque. Our Board of Directors then went into a thorough decision making process and endorsed and recommended the following candidates. Thank you to these candidates for supporting the voices of all voters.

Our next major goal is to adopt Ranked Choice Voting in Albuquerque. We thank these candidates for supporting this policy, which could give voters stronger expression and save millions on costly run-offs. You can join these efforts by signing up here!

NMVF Recommends: Mayling Armijo, Timothy Keller, or Alexander Uballez. 

Candidates for Albuquerque City Council

NMVF Recommends: Stephanie Telles or Daniel Leiva for District 1, Christopher Sedillo for District 3.

NMVF Recommends: Teresa Garcia for District 3.

NMVF Endorses: Athenea Allen for District 5, Tammy Fiebelkorn for District 7.

NMVF Recommends: Isaac Flores or Danielle Gonzales, APS School Board District 3.

NMVF Endorses: Brian Kevin Laurent Jr, APS School Board District 5.
