NM Voters First has been advocating for pro-democracy reforms since our founding in 2024 and our founders have been engaged in advancing democracy for nearly a decade. The issues we champion are focused on expanding voter participation and removing barriers to civic engagement for all New Mexicans. Increasing access to voting, modernizing our processes, and applying better forms of voting methods so that all voices are heard are areas where New Mexicans can rely on NM Voters First to make real change.

When we work, we win!

NM Voters First passed the semi-open primaries bill through the NM legislature in 2025 and the bill was signed by Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham into law. Our organization had a 60% win rate of the candidates we endorsed in the general election in 2024 and 71% win rate in the primaries.
